The Partnership of Intuition and Dreams

Our Dreaming Brain Encourages Intuition and Creativity
August 23,
2012
David Kahn received his PhD in Physics in 1962 from Yale University. He is currently on the faculty of Harvard Medical School in the Department of Psychiatry, engaged in research to understand states of the brain while dreaming. One outcome of this research is the further development of a neuropsychology of dreaming that can be used as a basis for a brain-based theory of psychiatry. David is a past president of the International Association for the study of dreams (IASD), and is currently an Advisor to its Executive Committee. Find out how the chemistry of the brain changes while we dream. Dr. Kahn will also tell us about other brain changes that occur when we are asleep and dreaming. Find out how brain changes make us more creative during the dream and even
increase our waking life creativity. Dr Kahn will share information about scientific studies that looked at the effect of REM sleep and dreaming on creativity and studies on the connection between dreaming and problem solving |
